Services / Private Events & Catering

The highest-return campaign most restaurants never run.

Planners are searching right now for private dining rooms, corporate dinner venues, buyouts, and catering. Aggregators buy that demand and sell it back as leads. Restaurants can go directly to the source.

Only a sent inquiry counts as an event lead

Campaigns are built around the searches planners actually type: holiday parties, client dinners, rehearsal dinners, birthday celebrations, offsites, and catering. The events page and inquiry form are proven to land a test send in the inbox before a dollar is spent. Map taps and people who lingered on the form are not inquiries.

Reporting reads like a receipt: sent inquiries this month, the searches that produced them, the expected pipeline at the venue's own event value, and what that pipeline cost. Harborview and the Carrubba rooms keep an inquiry-only scoreboard so dining-room traffic cannot borrow credit from event demand.

How do restaurants get more private event bookings?

The demand already exists: planners search for private dining rooms, corporate venues, buyouts, and catering every week. Going directly to that demand with dedicated campaigns and a tracked inquiry form is usually the fastest lever, because one booked event often covers a month of marketing.

What is a private event inquiry worth?

Venues set event values of roughly $3,500 to $6,000, and pipeline forecasts use close rates of 25 to 40 percent. On those inputs a single tracked inquiry carries roughly $900 to $2,400 in expected revenue. That is a forecast, not booked business.

Marketplaces or your own campaigns?

Aggregators advertise on event demand constantly, then charge for the leads. Owning the campaigns means owning the guest relationship, the data, and the margin, instead of renting them.

When to run private-event ads, and when not to

Run this when the room has capacity, a planner can send an inquiry on your own page, and you can name what one event is worth. One booked event often covers a month of fees.

Wait until a test inquiry lands in the inbox. If the form opens and never sends, the ads will count map taps as leads and the calendar will stay empty.

Hire someone else if you need a salesperson to close events, or a PR firm to fill the room with press. Those are different jobs.

Methodology and limits

Inquiries are counted at form submission on the venue's own site or event platform. The median and the spread come from tracked private-event inquiries across 28 venue-months from April through June 2026. Pipeline multiplies inquiries by the event value a venue sets and its close rate, so it is a forecast rather than booked revenue and is labeled that way. What this page does not claim: that every tracked inquiry became a booked event, or that paid campaigns produced all of a venue's event demand.
